When you travel and see something you've never seen before, you automatically assume that everyone does it. All the time. E.g. "everyone in Paris drinks coffee in terraces".
I just moved to Valencia. Everything's new and shiny.

looks surprised when you go into their restaurant
Either "surprised" or "Disgruntled because I was using the touch-screen cash register to organise my music collection God damn it"; a pair of expressions easily confused.
